China and Corea Order in Council, rgob.

WHEREAS by Treaty, grant, usage, suffer- ance, and other lawful means, His Majesty the King has jurisdiction within the dominions of the Emperor of China and the Emperor of Corea:

Now, therefore, His Majesty, by virtue and in exercise of the powers in this behalf by "The Foreign Jurisdiction Act, 1890," or otherwise in His Majesty rested, is pleased by and with the advice of His Privy Council to order, and it is hereby ordered as follows:-

1. This Order may be cited as "The China and Corea Order in Council, 1906,” and shall be read as one with "The China and Corea Order in Council, 1904," hereinafter referred to as the

Principal Order.”

2.-(1.) Where one or more commissioned Consular officers are stationed in a Consular district assigned to another commissioned Con- sular officer, the Minister may, if he think fit, appoint such commissioned Consular officer to whom no district is assigned to hold and form a Provincial Court at the place at which he is appointed to reside.

(2.) Where the Minister appoints such officer to hold a Provincial Court, he may restrict the jurisdiction of the said Court by the exclusion of any class or classes of cases, as may seem expe- dient in the interests of justice.

(3.) Cases excluded from the jurisdiction of the said Court, in accordance with the provisions of this Article, shall be dealt with in the Pro- vincial Court of the district.

(4.) The jurisdiction of a Provincial Court created under this Article shall be concurrent with that of the Provincial Court of the district.

3. The following Article shall be substituted for Article 69 of the Principal Order :-
